Suriya46 kicked off with a pooja in Hyderabad

Suriya, known for his strong fanbase in Telugu and for taking on roles that challenge conventions, continues to choose scripts that reflect depth and innovation.

With his 46th film — Sithara Entertainments’ Production No. 33 — he returns to a full-fledged bilingual format, ensuring his Telugu audience can experience his performance without compromise.

Following the success of Retro, Suriya has officially begun work on his much-anticipated 46th film. This marks his first collaboration with director Venky Atluri, known for emotionally rich yet commercially viable storytelling.

The project, tentatively titled #Suriya46, launched today with a formal pooja ceremony in Hyderabad.

The film has already generated significant buzz, particularly in light of Atluri’s recent successes.

With this project, he aims to present Suriya in a fresh and powerful new avatar that resonates with both Tamil and Telugu audiences.

Principal photography is set to begin at the end of May, with a Summer 2026 theatrical release being targeted.

Mamitha Baiju of Premalu fame plays the female lead, joined by veteran actors Raveena Tandon and Radhika Sarathkumar in pivotal roles. This ambitious bilingual venture promises to bridge both linguistic markets with its universal appeal.

GV Prakash Kumar takes charge of the music, reuniting with Venky Atluri after several successful collaborations.

The film’s technical team features Nimish Ravi as cinematographer, National Award-winner Navin Nooli as editor, and Banglan as the production designer.

Produced by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, and jointly backed by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is presented by Srikara Studios — promising high production values and a memorable cinematic experience.
