Small Films Lock Dates Vacated by Biggies

Big and medium-range movies like “Acharya”, “Love Story”, “Virata Parvam” and “Tuck Jagadish” got postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 grim situation in Telugu states.

A biggie like “Vakeel Saab” had suffered heavily due to the surge in COVID-19 cases as family audiences and the regular moviegoers have stopped visiting the theaters fearing contracting the coronavirus.

While notable films are getting postponed, small films find this situation is ideal for them to get noticed.

Teja Sajja starrer “Ishq Not A Love Story” is releasing on 23rd April, the date that was vacated by “Tuck Jagadish”.

And now, UV creations mini-budgeted rom-com “Ek Mini Katha” has locked 30th April as its release date.

Rana and Sai Pallavi starrer “Virata Parvam” was to hit the theaters on this day. Now, “Ek Mini Katha” is releasing on that day.

These films would not have got the sufficient number of theaters in the normal conditions during summer holidays.

With big movies not in the race, these small-budgeted movies are testing their luck. For them, any occupancy is good.
