Slow Start of Advance Sales: Mirai Vs Kishkindhapuri

Slow Start of Advance Sales: Mirai Vs Kishkindhapuri

This weekend, two films — Mirai and Kishkindhapuri — are set to compete at the box office.

Mirai is a pan-Indian superhero film targeting audiences across India and international markets, while Kishkindhapuri is a Telugu-language drama focusing solely on the regional market.

Both films belong to different genres and have generated curiosity through their trailers. Teja Sajja is leaving no stone unturned, touring across India and aggressively promoting “Mirai.”

Meanwhile, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas has just begun ramping up promotions for “Kishkindhapuri”, gaining momentum.

Interestingly, both production houses opened advance bookings today, signaling strong confidence in their films.

“Mirai” opened advance bookings in nine single-screen theaters across Hyderabad, whereas “Kishkindhapuri” started with bookings in just two theaters.

However, the early trend appears sluggish. Neither film has yet shown strong advance booking momentum (commonly referred to as turning “orange,” indicating fast-filling shows).

It seems both productions may need another day for audiences to warm up and commit to tickets.
