Director Sekhar Kammula has long been planning to do a sequel to his 2010 political drama “Leader”.
The film was the debut vehicle for Rana Daggubati, and it didn’t make much money at the box office.
Sekhar Kammula has shifted his focus on political stories again.
In a recent media interview, he revealed that he would take the sequel of ‘Leader’ to the sets soon. He wants Tamil superstar Suriya to play the ‘leader’.
But there is a buzz that he will pitch it to Dhanush first. Sekhar Kammula and Tamil star Dhanush’s film was announced with much fanfare after the release of “Love Story”. But Dhanush moved on with his other films as Kammula was not ready with the script.
There is a talk that he will pitch the idea of “Leader 2” to Dhanush soon. Will Dhanush agree to this sequel idea?
