Sanjay Dutt Slams Bollywood for Not Learning from Its Mistakes

Sanjay Dutt, who ruled the Hindi film industry for decades as a leading actor, has now transitioned into supporting and negative roles.

After delivering a powerful performance as the antagonist in KGF: Chapter 2, Dutt has become a sought-after name in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu cinema.

He has already featured in several films across these industries and is currently playing a pivotal role in the upcoming pan-India Kannada film KD.

Speaking at the teaser launch of KD, Dutt offered candid remarks on the current state of Bollywood.

He criticized the industry for failing to learn from its prolonged box office slump and for not taking meaningful corrective measures.

According to Dutt, the decline of Bollywood stems from a lack of passion among filmmakers and actors — something he believes remains vibrant and alive in South Indian cinema.

He urged Bollywood to move away from its obsession with box office numbers and instead focus on crafting content-driven films that connect with audiences across the country.
