What kind of preparation should be there when Samantha Akkineni is hosting a show?
The design, the content and the quality should be maintained to the best level possible. But the "Aha" team seems to have ignored this. They might have felt that Samantha's presence is enough to make any show a hit.
It is known that Aha has started a show with the title Sam-Jam with Samantha as its host.
Many have expected that something new will be packed up in this. But much to the disappointment of everyone, the show is tacky and ended up as a routine chat show.
To say in detail it appears to be the combination of "Bathuku Jatka Bandi", "Ali tho Saradaga" and Suma's "Cash" shows.
A star was brought in for the first episode of the show. Samantha has started chitcht with him. While that was going on, a psychologist and a doctor was brought in to continue with their counseling. Then a poor family was brought on to the stage and made them talk.
Not stopping there, the show has also bought in Viva Harsha, a comedian for no reason.
The idea of extending the show from entertainment to awareness, message and emotion has made this a tasteless bad dish. Over expectation of the makers has made it a flop show. Let us wish Samantha thinks twice before signing such poor shows.
Let us also hope that the subsequent episodes of this show will come up with some muscle in it.
