'Salaar' Effect: The Season Of Postponements

'Salaar' Effect: The Season Of Postponements

The month of September has brought unexpected surprises to Tollywood. The highly anticipated release of "Salaar" was originally set for the 28th of this month.

Consequently, no one dared to schedule any other films on that date. Furthermore, not a single film was released in the week leading up to it in anticipation.

However, a sudden twist occurred. Without an official announcement, "Salaar" was postponed, but this information was discreetly conveyed to buyers. This led to a rush of three other films vying for the now-vacant release date of "Salaar."

Even the initially comfortable slot on the 15th of September, which was reserved for Ram-Boyapati's "Skandha," also moved to the 28th, leaving a vacuum in theaters during the second weekend.

Adding to the tumult, "Chandramukhi 2," originally slated for release on September 15, has also been postponed.

Currently, the lineup is looking rather thin, with only a dubbed Vishal movie in theaters. "Kushi" was released last week, "Miss Shetty Mister Polishetty" is currently running, and "Jawan" has joined the fray.

As a result, the month is shaping up to be a crowded one towards the end, with multiple films clashing for attention.

It seems that a lack of effective communication and planning among producers has led to these scheduling conflicts, leaving valuable theatrical slots unoccupied.

The theaters appear dull without new releases on September 15th.
