Allu Arjun, the first Telugu hero to win a National Award, has now also received the first-ever Gaddar Award from the state of Telangana for his portrayal in the film Pushpa.
However, it’s well known that Allu Arjun faced a tough time after the release of Pushpa 2, particularly due to the Sandhya Talkies stampede incident where a woman tragically lost her life.
Following this, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reportedly took a hard stance against the actor, which led to his brief arrest. Revanth Reddy even raised the issue in the state assembly, criticizing Allu Arjun publicly.
Many believe that the CM’s actions were fueled by personal displeasure after Allu Arjun appeared to forget his name while speaking on a dais during a pre-release event of the film.
Some say Revanth used the stampede incident as an opportunity to legally trouble the actor, which resulted in his imprisonment for a day.
Setting all that aside, Allu Arjun has now received the prestigious Gaddar Award.
Naturally, it's the Chief Minister who presents state film awards, so it will be interesting to see whether Revanth Reddy and Allu Arjun appear in the same frame — one giving, the other receiving the honor.
This may suggest that Revanth Reddy has now cooled down in his stance towards Allu Arjun.
However, one surprising element is that Chiranjeevi, who is a family member of Allu Arjun, did not publicly congratulate him on X for this landmark award.
Although Chiranjeevi did post a general congratulatory message to all winners without mentioning any specific names, the absence of any reference to Allu Arjun — the Best Actor winner — has raised eyebrows.
It hints at ongoing tension or unresolved issues between the "Mega" family and Allu Arjun's camp.
There's always been chatter about strained relations between the two Mega families.
One might wonder — did the Megastar not realize that such a generic post would only revive speculations? And why go for a "wholesale" tweet without naming names?
Revanth Reddy may have eased up on Allu Arjun — but what about Chiranjeevi?
