Recent Indian Box Office: B'wood Hails, T'wood Fails

Mammootty’s Kalamkaval continues its smooth global run, steadily heading toward success status. Strong word of mouth and consistent overseas traction have kept the film stable through weekdays, giving the veteran star yet another dependable performer.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is rewriting early box-office expectations. The film has amassed nearly Rs 200 crore gross worldwide within just four days, riding on high occupancy, strong mass appeal and a surge in holiday footfalls.

Surprisingly, Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s Tere Ishk Mein has held its ground admirably despite the Dhurandhar wave. Its sustained collections across domestic circuits and international markets underline the film’s solid emotional connect and positive audience feedback.

In contrast, Andhra King Taluka has stumbled at the ticket windows, failing to draw crowds. Keerthy Suresh’s Revolver Rita, once considered a promising outing, has also turned into a box-office disaster, struggling to recover from tepid openings and facing increasing competition across regions as newer releases continue to dominate screens this week too.
