The growing misuse of Artificial Intelligence to morph or generate fake explicit images of celebrities has become a major concern in the Indian entertainment industry.
Many actors have spoken out in recent weeks, and now Rashmika Mandanna has taken a strong public stand against the disturbing trend.
Posting on X on Wednesday, Rashmika urged for strict accountability and responsible use of AI-generated content.
She described the situation as a “deep moral decline” and warned that the internet is increasingly becoming a place where fabricated visuals are easily accepted as truth.
Referring to the AI-driven creation of vulgar content targeting women, she wrote, “When truth can be manufactured, discernment becomes our greatest defense.”
She added, “AI is a tool for progress, but using it to create vulgarity and target women shows a dangerous fall in values.
The internet is no longer a mirror of truth — it is a canvas where anything can be fabricated.
Let us use AI responsibly and with dignity. If people cannot behave like humans, then strict and unforgiving punishment must be given.”
On the work front, Rashmika is preparing for the release of Cocktail 2, directed by Homi Adajania.
The film continues the story of the 2012 hit Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, and became popular for its modern take on friendship and love.
