Popular actress Ramya Krishna’s driver was arrested for smuggling liquor into Chennai city from Puducherry.
The police said that they took the driver into custody after it was found many bottles inside the car. The Innova Crysta car with registration number TS07Q0099 belongs to Ramya Krishna. The driver was traveling from Mahabalipuram to Chengalapattu.
The police officers stopped the car for a regular check and they found that the driver is smuggling liquor into the city during the lockdown.
The driver has been booked under various sections. The sale of liquor has been prohibited in Tamilnadu in containment zones.
Ramya Krishna is yet to make any statement.
