Ram Pothineni's 'Red' is gearing up for theatrical release this Sankranti season and the same was confirmed in the poster which was released yesterday on the occasion of Dasara.
The makers persisted to release the film in theaters despite receiving lucrative deals from a couple of OTT platforms during the lockdown period.
The latest news is that Red is doing some pretty impressive non-theatrical business ahead of its release.
Reportedly, the digital and satellite rights of Red have fetched a whopping amount of Rs 13.5 crores. Gemini TV acquired the rights of the film by shelling out big bucks.
This is a huge deal, taking the current financial recession pertaining to Covid-19 pandemic into consideration.
Red has Ram Pothineni, Malvika Sharma, Nivetha Pethuraj, and Amritha Aiyer in lead roles. Kishore Tirumala directed the film and Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is the producer.
The makers are expected to announce the release date in the near future.
