Rama Banam Brought An Insult To Gopichand

It is a fact that the movie "Rama Banam" received negative reviews. Additionally, there has been a decline in cinema attendance in the Telugu states. However, the focus here is not on these general trends.

Despite this, there is a section of the audience that eagerly awaits Gopichand's movies, expecting a mass appeal from him.

Surprisingly, even this dedicated fanbase remained silent on the first day of "Ramabanam." This fact emerged after analyzing the data.

It is evident that Gopichand's films consistently have minimal openings, regardless of their eventual outcome.

By examining the box office performance of his last 5-6 movies, it is clear that a specific segment of the audience consistently shows up for his movies, irrespective of the result.

However, even these loyal fans did not show up for "Rama Banam." The film only managed to garner a first-day share of just over Rs. 1 crore in the Telugu states.

Comparing the past five years, "Chanakya" had the lowest opening in Gopichand's career, with only a one crore rupee share. The movie that followed in terms of low opening collections was "Ramabanam."

Movies like "Pakka Commercial," "Seetimaar," "Gautham Nanda," and "Pantam," of Gopichand collected more than two and a half crore shares on their respective first days. Despite extensive publicity, "Rama Banam" failed to cross the 2 crore mark.

Considering the potential loss for the buyers and the impact on the producer, it is evident that Gopichand's current movies are losing their crowd-pulling capacity.

It would be advisable for him to take his scripts and roles more seriously and avoid pretentious projects.
