With the OG frenzy settling down, it’s now time for the buzz around Akhanda 2 and Raja Saab to pick up.
Slated for Sankranti release, Raja Saab still has plenty of time before hitting theatres. But director Maruthi is already planning to drop the first trailer soon.
The teaser released earlier got a solid response, and now the team has cut a trailer that promises to top it.
Interestingly, a Mumbai-based team was brought in to edit the trailer, but later the makers decided to cut it again with a local team to better suit audience taste.
The trailer is expected to release next week. Adding to the hype, it will be attached to Kantara Chapter 1, which is releasing nationwide this Dasara in multiple languages — giving Raja Saab trailer a pan-India launchpad.
But here’s the strategy: if the trailer is released this early, what about the long gap until January? To keep the momentum alive, the team is preparing not one but two trailers.
The second one will drop closer to the film’s release to maintain the hype.
