'Pushpa' Shoot Cancelled Due To Coronavirus

'Pushpa' Shoot Cancelled Due To Coronavirus

Pushpa is one of the most anticipated Telugu movies in the making. It is Allu Arjun's next after Ala Vaikunthapuramulo and Sukumar's immediate project after Rangasthalam. Expectations are very high and so is the cost of production.

Despite the change in market dynamics post corona crisis, Pushpa's estimated budget is around Rs 130 Cr and Rs 150 Cr.

Mythri Movie Makers are not compromising on the quality and spending a bomb on each day of the shoot.

First schedule of Pushpa is currently going on the deep forests of Maredumilli. More than eight hundred members are on the sets every day.

A whopping Rs 40 lakh is being spent at an average per day and this doesn't include the Allu Arjun's, Sukumar's and other major paychecks of Pushpa.

Sukumar planned to shoot for a few days in this location, but has decided to extend the shoot to the next schedule as he is satisfied with the look and feel of the forest on screen.

But the pity is the shoot is now halted all of a sudden. One of the unit members is critical (not due to corona). On the other hand 12 unit members were diagnosed Covid positive now.

It is known that 400 members will participate in a  shoot though the actual actors will be around 10 for any big budget film. That has become a practice.

But here for this film, a shocking 800 members are working on the sets at Rampachodavaram and Maredumilli.

Vehicles are being parked at a length of 1 km at the spot. So, it is obvious to see some Covid positive cases in such a thick group.
