The standardisation of ticket prices by the government of Andhra Pradesh has planted a heavy blow on the face of all the big producers of Tollywood.
When the ticket prices cannot be increased in tune with the demand, the big films cannot be sold at higher prices to the distributors. That effects the remunerations of the heroes as well as the income of the producers and the shares of the directors.
In a zoom meeting held among the members of the Producers' Guild, a big producer who has close connections with TDP tried to instigate Rajamouli to fight against the government of Andhra Pradesh in the High Court to get back the right to increase the ticket prices of big films as per the demand.
He raised the point that how can the government interfere in the film business and decide on the ticket prices.
It is known that RRR, the biggest film of Tollywood is in queue to release within a few months. So the line has to be cleared regarding the ticket prices.
But another big producer Anil Sunkara negated the thought process of approaching the court.
Finally the Guild members are finding out the amicable ways to negotiate with the government.
