A potential box office clash is shaping up between Prabhas and Salman Khan during the Eid 2027 window, creating buzz across the industry.
Prabhas has already announced his upcoming film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
The crime drama, featuring Tripti Dimri as the female lead, is currently in production and is scheduled for release on March 5, 2027. The makers are eyeing the Eid festive window to maximise reach.
At the same time, Salman Khan has confirmed his return to the Eid release slot after a gap.
His next film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju, is also being planned for the Ramzan 2027 season, which is expected to fall around early March.
Salman Khan has a strong track record with Eid releases, having delivered several blockbusters during the festive period. This makes the potential clash even more exciting, especially given Prabhas’s pan-India appeal.
However, industry buzz suggests that Spirit may not strictly stick to its announced date, as the film’s shoot is reportedly progressing slower than expected.
If delays continue, the makers may consider postponing the release to avoid direct competition.
As of now, both projects are targeting the same festive window, setting the stage for what could become one of the biggest box office face-offs of 2027.
