Prabhas may be juggling multiple projects, but sequels don’t appear to be a priority for him at the moment.
The actor is currently favoring original stories over follow-ups to his previous blockbusters.
He was initially expected to begin work on Salaar 2 last year, but instead opted to proceed with Hanu Raghavapudi’s military drama Fauji.
As a result, director Prashanth Neel paused plans for Salaar 2 and moved on to his next project with NTR. The action drama starring NTR is currently in production, with a planned release in June 2026.
Similarly, the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD has also been delayed. While the second installment was originally slated to begin filming this year, Prabhas is now preparing to start work on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit instead.
With both Salaar 2 and Kalki 2 temporarily on hold, it remains to be seen which sequel Prabhas will prioritize once his current commitments are wrapped up.
