Prabhas is once again rewriting the record books with the re-release of his 2010 cult classic Darling, which has already crossed the double-digit mark at the global box office.
Despite mixed results from some of his recent films, the Baahubali star continues to prove his unmatched box office pull, even with older content.
The re-release performance of Darling has exceeded expectations by a huge margin.
For comparison, Prabhas’s previous re-release, Salaar, collected around ₹4.35 crore worldwide during its full run.
In contrast, Darling has grossed ₹10.44 crore globally within just three days, marking a jump of nearly 140 percent.
With this performance, Darling has officially surpassed Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja to become the second highest-grossing Telugu re-release of all time, behind only the massive Baahubali: The Epic.
The film has also entered the list of the top South Indian re-releases, currently holding the sixth position and showing strong potential to climb further.
At the top of the list is Baahubali: The Epic with ₹51.7 crore, followed by Tamil hits like Ghilli (Rs 32.50 Cr), Padayappa (Rs 18.5 Cr), Mankatha (Rs 14.5 Cr), and Sachien (Rs 13.6 cr).
With its current momentum, Darling is expected to challenge Sachien in the coming days and may even move higher in the rankings.
If the film continues its strong run through the weekend, Prabhas could further strengthen his position in the re-release space, underlining his enduring popularity across generations.
