It has been four days since Hari Hara Veera Mallu hit theatres on July 24, 2025.
Despite enjoying significant pre-release hype and receiving special ticket price hikes approved by the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments, the film has struggled at the box office due to negative word-of-mouth.
In response, the makers are reportedly working on a revised final cut to attract audiences back to theatres.
Director A M Jyothi Krishna praised Pawan Kalyan’s performance, calling it “intense and authentic.”
“Pawan garu’s transformation into Veera Mallu was inspiring. His commitment to the role — that of a fearless warrior challenging the might of the Mughal Empire — was evident in every frame,” he said.
Pawan’s preparation for the film was rigorous. He trained extensively in sword fighting, horse riding, and four different weapon-handling techniques, along with brush martial arts.
The actor also choreographed and directed a raw and intense action sequence for the film’s climax.
“Despite his packed political schedule, Pawan garu remained committed to completing the film,” Jyothi Krishna added. “This is undoubtedly the most physically demanding role of his career — an emotionally powerful tribute to the protectors of Sanatana Dharma.”
