Thiruveer, known for choosing strong content-driven films, is hoping to score a theatrical hit with his upcoming release Paapam Prathap, which hits cinemas tomorrow.
The team recently held the film’s pre-release event, with Sree Vishnu attending as the chief guest.
Thiruveer grew emotional while speaking about how his previous films didn’t get the theatrical reach they deserved despite receiving positive feedback. He also expressed his gratitude to Sree Vishnu for gracing the event.
“My last film The Pre-Wedding Show received great response on OTT, but I still feel films should run well in theatres. When I asked friends and well-wishers, everyone had different suggestions—some said be loud, some said create controversy during events. But I never believed in that.
I read comments too. Many people said, ‘You make good films, but your promotions are weak.’ So this time, I made sure people know about the film. I’ve done everything you suggested, and now I’m waiting for your response.
Paapam Prathap is a clean entertainer- a feel-good ride the whole family can enjoy together. It’s the kind of film meant to be watched with a crowd. It won’t disappoint you. I’m a die-hard SRH fan, and I can say confidently that our movie will be more entertaining than the Gujarat vs KKR IPL match on April 17.”
He also announced that the film will have a reasonable ticket price of 105.
