NTR On Esquire: A PR Activity For 'War2'?

NTR appears on the cover of Esquire India for the first time, just days before the release of War 2 on August 14.

This presents him in a new, fashion forward look; different from how audiences usually see him. 

The timing is not a coincidence. This is part of a larger, national level PR campaign leading up to the film's release.

The goal seems clear, introduce NTR to audiences in different ways as possible and expand his presence beyond the South Indian film industry. The magazine cover is one of several steps in that direction.

But the point is that these are not the days where people subscribe and read the magazines.

But the PR activity continues to do this and then publishes about this Cover Page presence in social media and other main stream media platforms, calling it a pride. 

In fact, there’s nothing wrong with marketing. It’s good to see promotions like this happening.

And it’s not just NTR; many stars appear on magazine covers as part of their film promotions. If not Esquire, it’s another magazine. This is a common strategy across the industry.
