November Box Office: Big Roars From Small Films

November Box Office: Big Roars From Small Films

Not even a single big film was released in November. Samantha's Yashoda is the only one to consider big in the list. Keeping that aside, a few small films really made some noise at the box office this month.

In the first week of November, Allu Sirish's 'Urvasivo Rakshasivo' was released and bagged good reviews. It could bring a positive image to Sirish for scoring a film with positive talk after a long time. But commercially it cannot be called a successful venture owing to the budget incurred and the business made at theatres. In Spite of the talk, the audience didn't show interest to patronize Allu Sirish's film due to their changed taste.

Along with this the other small films like Jetti, Bomma Blockbuster, Banares, Like Share and Subscribe, Saradhi, Taggedele and Aakasam were all released at a time. But none of these films could pull the attention. At last, Merlapaka Gandhi's 'Like Share and Subscribe' with Santhosh Sobhan also failed miserably.

Samantha's Yashoda was released in the second week of November. It could reach the expectation to an extent. This can be called a successful film in the filmography of Samantha. This has given a boost to Samantha that she can continue doing female centric films. Along with this, Girl Friend, Madhi, Insecure, Clue and Adharam were released and proved to be utter flops.

Sudigali Sudheer's 'Gaalodu' was released in the third week of the month along with the horror film Masooda. Both the films proved successful. While Gaalodu made impressive collections, Masooda pulled the interest of the audience, those inclined to such genres of films.

Love Today is the dubbed film from Tamil that gave  a positive finishing touch to the month becoming a decent hit at the box office. The collections are impressive and it made breakeven to step into profits as well.

Though Allari Naresh's Maredmilli Prajaaneekam was released with some positive talk, it ended up as a  commercial failure within 3 days of its release. The films like Thodelu, Ranasthali, Vala and Manninchava have vanished without trace.

Another interesting thing of this month is that ANR, Jayasudha's film that was started in 1982 was released for the first time in a single theatre of Hyderabad. But it was ignored by Jayasudha and its director Singeetam Srinivas Rao. It's producer Jarlamudi Radhakrishna tried to promote it in his way but it didn't reach the audience.

There were some re-releases amidst these straight and dubbed films. Nuvve Nuvve, Varsham, Rebel and Badshah were released in limited theatres but they didn't make any sound.

The only commercial successes of this month are LoveToday, Yasodha and Gaalodu. The other film that entertained a set of audience is Masooda.
