NTR had pinned big hopes on his Bollywood debut. He believed that launching with a film alongside Hrithik Roshan would give his career in Hindi cinema an unbeatable start. But War 2 has shaken those expectations.
The actor is now said to be reconsidering his Bollywood plans. In fact, NTR had already signed a deal with Yash Raj Films for another project. However, after the blow of War 2, doubts are now surrounding that film as well.
Had War 2 turned into a massive hit, NTR was almost certain to get a solo Bollywood film. Instead, the movie faced heavy trolling - particularly targeting NTR’s looks - which has further clouded his next move in Hindi cinema.
For now, it seems unlikely that NTR will sign another Bollywood project anytime soon. As of its second weekend,
War 2 collected ₹6.5 crore net across India on Sunday, taking its total to ₹221 crore. The Telugu version, however, has completely collapsed at the box office.
