No Remakes, No Bollywood - Mahesh Babu's Rules

No Remakes, No Bollywood - Mahesh Babu's Rules

Some people set certain rules for themselves and never break them; Mahesh Babu is one of them. At a time when many Tollywood stars are rushing to act in Bollywood films, Mahesh has always stayed away.

Many Telugu heroes have worked in Hindi movies, but Mahesh made it clear long ago that he wouldn’t.

After Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna, Mahesh was one of the Telugu actors to get offers from Bollywood. But he never chased them.

“I got many offers, but none of the projects excited me enough to work in Bollywood,” he had once said.

In fact, Mahesh doesn’t even need to do a direct Hindi film. He already has huge popularity in the North. His Telugu films, released in Hindi as dubbed versions, have earned him a strong following there.

That’s why he prefers to focus on making good Telugu films rather than heading to Bollywood.

Mahesh also follows another personal rule; no remakes. In his long career, he has never acted in remakes, not even in films originally done by his father. He had decided this many years ago and still sticks to it.

As he grows older, Mahesh is also getting better with age, both in looks and career. He continues to increase his remuneration with each film and earns heavily from movies, brand endorsements, and other businesses.

He owns luxurious houses in Hyderabad, and large properties in Mumbai and Bengaluru, along with expensive cars like Range Rover and Mercedes-Benz.

Mahesh’s net worth is estimated to be over ₹300 crore. He also donates a part of his earnings to charity, funding heart surgeries for many children through his foundation.
