Nithiin is one of the few stars in the Telugu film industry who has managed to steer clear of controversies and political affiliations.
As a result, he doesn't attract anti-fans or online trolling like some of his contemporaries. However, what continues to haunt his career is the lack of consistency in delivering hits.
For every single blockbuster, Nithiin ends up delivering multiple flops. Despite being in the industry for over two decades, he is yet to establish a steady streak of successful films.
His recent outings — Macherla Niyojakavargam, Extra Ordinary Man, and Robinhood — have all performed poorly, severely denting his market value.
Perhaps sensing the trend, he chose not to actively promote his latest release, Thammudu. He refrained from making bold statements or showing confidence in the film’s content.
Unfortunately, staying low-key didn’t help either. Thammudu also turned out to be a disaster, with Venu Sriram’s direction receiving unanimous criticism from both critics and general audiences.
The film is now struggling to put up even decent numbers at the box office.
It’s high time Nithiin re-evaluates his approach, from script selection to final execution.
He must take full ownership of each project, scrutinizing every aspect before giving the green light, especially before locking the release date.
