Known for choosing unique scripts while ensuring solid entertainment value, Sree Vishnu is back with a fresh offering Single, slated for release on the 9th of this month.
In an exclusive interview with us, the actor opened up about the film, which promises to be a relatable and fun-filled experience, especially for younger audiences.
“This is the first time I’m doing a love story that’s youthful and filled with entertainment,” Sree Vishnu shared. “Single explores the challenges faced by singles—something rarely addressed in cinema. The character I play will strike a chord with many. It’s about two friends, both working in banks, who are looking for companionship. Vennela Kishore plays my friend, and my track with him is hilarious. The audience will not only laugh but also empathize with our characters.”
Describing Single as a dialogue-driven comedy, he added, “The humor comes from everyday situations, and the dialogues are fresh, youthful, and relatable.”
The film will feature only three songs. “Initially, we planned for six songs, but later decided to cut it down to three to maintain the narrative flow. There are no duets. Every song fits organically into the story, and we made sure not to bore the audience at any point. Out of the 2-hour-5-minute runtime, nearly 2 hours are packed with entertainment.”
Sree Vishnu also thanked Allu Aravind for his support. “He’s incredibly jovial and brought a lot of experience and valuable input to the project. His support meant a lot to the team.”
A unique aspect of Single is that parts of the film were shot in the Metro rail and stations. “We shot there for 20 to 30 days, which gave the movie a refreshing visual style,” he revealed.
