Manchu Meltdown: Vishnu is Angry Against Allu

One Trailer. One Word. Tollywood, often shaken by box office clashes, is now shivering — all because of a single trailer.

Released on Tuesday afternoon, the trailer contained satirical jabs at Balakrishna, Kannappa, and Sivayya.

While Sree Vishnu shouting “Sivayya!” didn’t stir much controversy, one line — “Jeevitam Manchu Kurisipovadam” — sparked major backlash. The use of “Manchu” as a stand-in for an expletive created the core of the problem.

According to sources, Manchu Vishnu was furious. Rumor has it he lashed out, saying, “How can we troll ourselves? At a time when we’re fighting against online trolling, how can people from within the industry mock fellow industry members? Is this right?”

The team behind the film Single was reportedly rattled and immediately made corrections. That controversial line is being replaced.

Insiders say Vishnu contacted top Tollywood figures and Producer’s Council members, demanding action. An urgent council meeting was held on Wednesday, though the outcome remains unclear.

Amid the chaos, actor Sree Vishnu attempted to calm things down with an apology video. Although it wasn’t officially released, the video leaked faster than a pirated film on Telegram. In it, he sincerely stated that the offensive line would be removed from the film.

Looking back, maybe they should’ve just gone with “Matti Kottukupovadam” instead of “Manchu Kurisipovadam.”
