Multiplexes and cinema halls got reopened today in several cities in India.
While theaters in Telangana, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh have remained shut, Karnataka has resumed operations.
BookMyShow, the popular website for booking tickets, is now allowing bookings for tickets for Mahesh Babu’s “Sarileru Neekevvaru”, Allu Arjun’s “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo” and Nithin’s “Bheeshma” in the Bengaluru region.
The multiplexes will re-run these movies until new releases come.
These films got released early this year. The theaters closed their operations across India in March after the lockdown was announced.
The Government of India permitted the reopening of cinema halls from October 5. However, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh theaters owners didn’t resume due to many reasons.
