Rajamouli's aim was to release #RRR on July 30. He announced the release date even before the filming commenced, but #RRR got delayed for many reasons and it is now aiming at Sankranthi 2021 release.
This leaves July 30 vacant and it is one of the best dates to have a pan India release.
KGF sequel grabbed the opportunity and is now aiming at Julu 30 release.
Director Prashanth Neel planned to release it in October or December, but they are now looking to make use of this date as KGF 2 is sure to grab attention across the Nation.

It is the Second Chapter of KGF that begins from where the first chapter ended. This one has a bigger villain in Sanjay Dutt, who could boost its prospects further in North Indian markets.
