Mirai Prebiz: Most Profitable For PMF

Mirai Prebiz: Most Profitable For PMF

At a time when the Telugu film industry is going through a rough patch, with even big-star films and medium-budget movies struggling to recover their costs, Teja Sajja’s Mirai has sparked new hope, thanks to its strong buzz and impressive pre-release business.

Produced meticulously by People Media Factory (PMF), Mirai was made on a budget of 60 crore. However, the trailer and other promotional content give the impression of a film mounted on a scale of at least 100 crore.

In fact, delivering such world-class visuals on this budget sets a benchmark for other filmmakers. The film has already become a golden goose for the production house.

Even before hitting theatres, Mirai has recovered 45 crore alone through non-theatrical deals, including OTT, satellite, and digital rights.

Since the producers are releasing the film theatrically on their own, they’ve retained full control over the profits.

As things stand, Mirai is already sitting on a table profit of 20 crore, and this is even before its theatrical release.

This is both rare and historic, considering the current state of the industry. In fact, it has become PMF’s safest and most profitable project to date.

Thanks to strong buzz and nationwide interest, the film is expected to earn over 15 crore on its opening day, a target that now seems well within reach.

Lead actor Teja Sajja, who brings director Karthik’s ambitious vision to life, is fast emerging as the face of new-age Telugu cinema, especially after his earlier hit HanuMan.

His promotional efforts across the country have played a major role in building excitement around the film.

Mirai is all set to release in cinemas on September 12th, and the industry is watching closely, because this just might be the success story Telugu cinema needs right now.
