Teja Sajja starrer fantasy adventure Mirai directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni on People Media Factory will present the protagonist in Super Yodha role.
Director Karthik reveals that the core concept for Mirai was conceived nearly seven years ago. “It took a lot of time to explore how this concept could be connected to mythology. I’ve always been fascinated by mythological tales, and that passion became the foundation for developing Mirai. It’s a deeply rooted story, and I truly believe the audience will connect with it.”
As hinted in the promotional material, Mirai delves into the legend of Emperor Ashoka and his nine mysterious books. “There’s a myth that Emperor Ashoka possessed nine ancient books of wisdom. Mirai explores the idea—what if those sacred books fell into the wrong hands? And how can we protect them using the knowledge from our epics and mythologies? That belief—that solutions to modern problems lie in our Itihasas—was the driving force behind this story.”
Karthik also shared that the film was shot across various locations, including Sri Lanka, Nepal, Rajasthan, Burj, and Thailand. He revealed that Teja Sajja underwent rigorous training in Thailand to prepare for the demanding action sequences. “Teja worked extremely hard for the movie, especially for the action blocks.”
Speaking about casting Manoj, the director said: “The role required an actor who could portray both a positive aura and natural aggression. Manoj fit the character perfectly. His background in martial arts also added great value.”
Confident about the film’s outcome, Karthik added that there is potential for a sequel to Mirai.
