After presenting the blockbuster Major, superstar Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar are back to support yet another compelling project.
Titled Rao Bahadur, the film stars Satya Dev in the lead and is helmed by acclaimed director Venkatesh Maha, known for his critically lauded films C/O Kancharapalem and Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya.
The film is being jointly produced by A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments. GMB Entertainment is collaborating once again with A+S Movies post the success of Major. SriChakraas Entertainments previously delivered the successful film KA.
Along with revealing the title today, the makers also unveiled the film’s striking first-look poster, and it impresses big time.
Satya Dev appears in a transformative avatar as an elderly man exuding a regal aura. Sporting a thick handlebar mustache, pronounced eyebrows, and a grim expression, he perfectly embodies the titular character.
The poster features intricate design elements, including peacock feathers and ornate vines on Satya Dev’s costume, enhancing the royal aesthetic. Interestingly, miniature children can be seen in the poster engaged in playful activities, adding a whimsical touch.
A psychological drama rooted in the decay of aristocratic legacy, Rao Bahadur delves into the unraveling mind of its central figure.
While Smaran Sai scores the music, Kartik Parmar cranks the camera. Rohan Singh handles production design.
The teaser, cleverly titled Not A Teaser, is set for release in theatres on Independence Day, with a digital release scheduled on August 18th.
The film is slated for a global release in summer 2026.
