Actress Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan have purchased a luxury duplex apartment in Chennai’s upscale neighbourhood of Poes Garden, the same area where superstar Rajinikanth lives.
According to property documents accessed by Zapkey, the apartment is located on the fourth and fifth floors of the Legacy project in Poes Garden, in Chennai’s Teynampet area.
The duplex has a super built-up area of 14,369 sq ft, while the undivided share of land is 5,308 sq ft. Based on the transaction value, the property was purchased at roughly ₹21,946 per sq ft.
The sale deed was registered on December 15, 2025, with Landmark Metro Projects Private Limited listed as the seller.
Documents show that the couple jointly owns the property, with Nayanthara holding a 90% share and Vignesh Shivan (Vigneshwar Sivakolundu) owning the remaining 10%.
Nayanthara, who has remained one of the top actresses in South Indian cinema for many years, has also invested in several properties across cities. She reportedly owns multiple homes in Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.
The actress is said to own two luxury apartments in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, each valued at around ₹15 crore. Her ancestral house in Kerala is also believed to be among the most luxurious private residences in the state.
On the work front, Nayanthara has a busy slate of upcoming projects both as an actor and producer. One of the most awaited films is Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan.
The film features Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty, along with Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara and Revathy in key roles.
Notably, Mohanlal and Mammootty will share screen space after 18 years. The film is scheduled to release worldwide on April 23.
She will also appear in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which stars Yash along with Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani and Rukmini Vasanth. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is slated for a global release on June 4, 2026.
