Producer Natti Kumar wrote a letter to the Election Commission urging it to stop the release of "Geethanjali Malli Vachindi," starring Anjali in the lead role. The film is a horror comedy.
Natti Kumar contended that the film was produced by MVV Satyanarayana, a candidate for the YSRC party in the upcoming elections.
Kona Venkat, the film's co-producer and writer, slammed Natti for not knowing the rules.
Kona Venkat stated that the film will not be stopped because it contains no political content or references.
"It is a sequel to a hugely successful film. It is a pure entertainment film with horror elements. The film does not advocate for or against any political party. So, why should it be stopped?" Kona inquired.
The film "Geethanjali Malli Vachindi" is set to be released next month. Kona Venkat promised that the film would be released on schedule.
