IMDb's Comedy Rankings Bring Big Laughs

IMDb's Comedy Rankings Bring Big Laughs

The biggest humor today is how seriously many Indians treat IMDb ratings, even when the latest lists look more like jokes than credible rankings.

People are now laughing at how unreliable these so-called popularity charts have become, yet national media still gives them importance as if they reflect real public opinion.

According to IMDb’s newly announced “most popular Indian stars,” Ahaan Pandey is in first place, followed by names like Aneet Padda, Ishaan Khatter, Lakshya, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Rukmini Vasanth, and Rishab Shetty.

Shockingly, Allu Arjun and Prabhas is missing, and Aamir Khan appears in third position, which many consider another level of comedy.

IMDb even claims Aryan Khan is the second most popular Indian director, right after Mohit Suri, while massive names like Sukumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Rajamouli, Hirani, Bhansali, and Karan Johar do not appear at all.

This is the same IMDb that once listed 'Junior', the debut film of Kireeti as India’s most talked-about movie at the time of its release. No wonder viewers are laughing at the veracity of these rankings.

Many now say anyone who takes IMDb’s Indian ratings seriously is simply playing along with a bad joke.
