It’s been a while since Samantha announced her film Maa Inti Bangaram. Back then, she even released the first look poster - a fierce still of herself holding a gun, hinting at an intense crime drama.
But after that announcement, the project went completely silent, with no updates for months.
Now, fresh buzz suggests movement on the film again. According to the latest reports, Maa Inti Bangaram has shifted hands.
Originally planned with a new director, the project has now reportedly been handed over to Samantha’s close friend, filmmaker Nandini Reddy.
Nandini is said to be busy reworking the script at the moment.
The film, touted as a crime thriller, will also be produced under Samantha’s own banner. Once the final draft is locked, the actress plans to take it straight onto the sets.
Recently, Samantha admitted that she has cut down on the number of films she is doing, choosing only projects that truly excite her.
“I’ll focus on quality over quantity,” she said - and Maa Inti Bangaram seems to be one such carefully chosen film.
Fans will remember that Samantha and Nandini Reddy previously delivered the superhit Oh! Baby. Expectations are already high for their next collaboration.
