It is known that the release of Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu has been postponed once again from its scheduled date of June 12th. This marks another delay in the long-anticipated project.
Here is the trade off. During a previous delay, Amazon Prime Video reportedly reduced its deal value by Rs 5 crore.
Now, with yet another rescheduling, the platform has not only further reduced the financial commitment but also tightened its control over the film’s release date.
According to sources, Amazon Prime Video is now exercising complete authority over the release date.
Unlike earlier, where the filmmakers had some say in scheduling, the OTT platform will now decide the theatrical release date based on its scheduled streaming date entirely on its own terms.
The decision will depend on Amazon’s internal content strategy and preferred release windows, but not on the producers’ timeline.
As a result, the release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu is no longer in the hands of the filmmakers but firmly under Amazon Prime Video’s control. That is the plight of this film.
