Actress Lavanya Tripathi, after a short break, is back with a surreal comedy entertainer Happy Birthday directed by Ritesh Rana. The actress played the main lead in the movie due for release on 8th of this month.
Lavanya Tripathi in her exclusive interview with greatandhra.com reveals there’s no space for seriousness in the movie, as it is an out and out entertainer with a very new concept.
“Happy Birthday is very funny and entertaining movie with no seriousness anywhere. The comedy generates through situations. It will not have lengthy dialogues. Although it looks class, the movie has many mass elements.”
Lavanya says as an actor she wants to attempt different characters. “Director Ritesh saw my comic side in a show and he thought I can be funny. I tried new look, language, characteristics, attires etc. I also dubbed for my character for the first time.”
The actress informs her character name is Happy and the story takes place on her birthday party. “All the characters come to the party and many twists and turns happen there.”
Lavanya says the audience will feel like entering a new world. “The movie will transport you to a new world. And after movie finishes, you will feel like why we came back to the normal world. Everyone will enjoy it. There are too many elements- comedy, suspense etc.”
She affirms her producer Cherry was surprised to see her comedy timing on first day of the shoot. “Cherry sir told me that he was surprised to see that side of me. He said you’ve killed it.”
Lavanya Tripathi affirms she will prefer love marriage and her parents have no qualms at all in it.
