Ghaati is fast becoming one of the most talked-about films in Telugu cinema, not just for its epic storytelling but also for its daring action.
The film, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, has revealed that its lead actors Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu performed their own stunts without body doubles, a rarity in today’s big-budget filmmaking.
The action sequences were shot entirely on real locations in the untouched landscapes of Odisha, making them raw and authentic.
Fight master Ram Krishnan designed the sequences with a focus on realism, ensuring the intensity comes from the terrain and the actors’ commitment rather than studio trickery. Both Anushka and Vikram pushed themselves physically to match the scale of the action.
What elevates these sequences even further is the way they’ve been captured by cinematographer Manojh Reddy Katasani.
His lens has turned the virgin Odisha locations into breathtaking cinematic canvases- vast, rugged, and untouched. Every frame, from mist-laden cliffs to dense forests, enhances the scale of the action and makes the battles feel alive.
The visuals have already drawn industry attention. After watching the teaser and trailer, SS Rajamouli was reportedly “awestruck” by the magnitude of the locations and the scope of the action sequences.
The director, who is preparing his own film with Mahesh Babu, is said to be considering the same Odisha region for his shoot after seeing what Ghaati accomplished there.
Director Krish Jagarlamudi has promised that audiences will witness something extraordinary.
“The audience will be shocked to see what we’ve achieved, not only in high-octane action but also in how deeply these moments are tied to the emotions of our story,” he said.
With Anushka Shetty’s fierce transformation, Vikram Prabhu’s intense debut, Ram Krishnan’s grounded action, and Manojh Reddy Katasani’s stunning visuals, Ghaati is shaping up to be a cinematic experience that feels as real as it is epic.
Produced by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments, the film is already one of the most hyped releases of the year.
