There are millions of movie fans in both the Telugu states. Big films are coming up in March, April and May. The Tollywood lovers should pay Rs 1500 Cr in the form of tickets to make these films only to breakeven.
Radhe Shaym, Bheemla Nayak, RRR, Acharya and Sarkar Vaari Paata are releasing in these months. Along with these, Pakka Commercial, Ramarao On Dury, Ghani, Ante Sundaraniki are also coming up in these three months. Every big film was marketed at around Rs 100 Cr in both Telugu states. RRR has crossed Rs 150 Cr.
So, all these films are collectively drawing around Rs 750 Cr from the buyers. If both producers and buyers have to be safe, the audience should shell out Rs 1500 Cr by buying tickets. That means on an average they need to spend Rs 500 Cr Per month.
There has been no such big bet in the last two years due to the Corona pandemic. We have to see what will be the result now. Until and unless the family audiences come out and patronize all these films, the anticipated figures may not be possible.
