OTT platforms are ready to pay a premium amount if a movie agrees to premiere on their platforms within two weeks of its theatrical release.
Recently, Vijay’s “Master” got such a lucrative offer from Amazon Prime Video.
But, “Gaali Sampath” is ready to stream within a week of its theatrical release. The film featuring Sree Vishnu and Rajendra Prasad in the lead roles was bagged by Aha Video.
Before the release, the makers had agreed to the two-week window. But after seeing its fate in the theaters, they have allowed Aha to stream it on 19th March.
“Aha” will give an extra amount for the makers. “Gaali Sampath” has failed to get a decent opening either. The film hit the screens on 11th March.
