OTT platforms have become the new alternative for cinema theaters during the lockdown.
However, big stars and directors are not seeing it as a replacement for theaters as the OTT platforms can never bring hundreds of crores of rupees.
Big stars and filmmakers of Hollywood don’t mind doing Netflix movies, but our stars see it as an inferior thing compared to doing regular movies.
But our film producers are already seeing this as an alternative source of income. However, they will need to make content on a low budget to make profits through OTTs.
Hence, failed actors and out of form directors are being signed up for the job. This has surely given a new ray of hope for directors and actors that were out of work post their flop streak.
With star directors and actors staying away from the OTT race, it should be easy for anybody that comes up with decent content to ace this game.
