Despite repeated assurances from the producers and director about the release date of Peddi, trade circles and distributors have continued to express doubts, mainly because the film’s shooting is yet to be completed.
The uncertainty has also rubbed off on fans, especially since director Buchi Babu is a protégé of Sukumar, who is known for extending shoots until the last minute.
Putting all speculation to rest, Ram Charan officially reaffirmed Peddi’s release date during his speech at the trailer launch event of Champion held in Hyderabad on Friday evening.
Addressing the doubts head-on, Ram Charan urged everyone not to worry and confidently stated, “We are coming on track: March 27th, 2026.”
Peddi is a rural sports drama and has already created a strong buzz. Its first single, “Chikiri Chikiri,” went viral and crossed 100 million views on YouTube. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead in the film.
Although Ram Charan’s previous outing Game Changer ended in a major disappointment at the box office, Peddi continues to generate considerable excitement among audiences and trade alike.
