Jr NTR's birthday celebrations saw the re-release of his 2007 fantasy action film Yamadonga, but the response has been underwhelming.
Despite a decent pre-release buzz and registering the tenth-highest ticket pre-sales for a Telugu re-release on BookMyShow, the film has yet to deliver strong opening day numbers.
Yamadonga sold around 27,000 tickets in advance on BMS, managing to surpass Orange, which starred his RRR co-star Ram Charan.
However, this figure falls far short of the benchmark set by Gabbar Singh, which leads the re-release chart with 175,000 ticket pre-sales.
Directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Jr NTR and Priyamani, Yamadonga was originally released in 2007.
Made on a budget of ₹16–18 crore, it grossed nearly ₹28 crore worldwide, emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film of that year.
