Day 1 Box Office: Eagle Opens Lower Than TNR

Following a hiatus of three months, Ravi Teja has returned to the big screen with his newest venture, "Eagle."

Initially slated for release during the Sankranti festive season, the film faced a delay due to the crowded schedule of other releases.

Unfortunately, this strategic decision did little to bolster its performance, as the day one box office earnings fell short of expectations.

Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the Telugu action thriller hit theaters yesterday to a reception that can be best described as mixed to decent.

While critics offered varying reviews, audience feedback has also been lukewarm. This tepid response may have contributed to the underwhelming overall box office performance, with "Eagle" failing to surpass the earnings of Ravi Teja's previous outing, "Tiger Nageswara Rao."

Initial reports indicate that "Eagle" managed to amass 6.15 crores at the Indian box office on its opening day. Given Ravi Teja's star power, expectations were higher, but the film's reception fell short of anticipated levels.

Despite a promising start with morning screenings, the film experienced minimal growth throughout the afternoon and evening shows.

Comparatively, Ravi Teja's preceding film, "Tiger Nageswara Rao," debuted with 6.60 crores in box office collections on its opening day, even amidst competition with Nandamuri Balakrishna's "Bhagavanth Kesari."
