Today marks Rajamouli’s birthday. The top director is celebrating the special day quietly with his family.
However, fans were hoping for a surprise: a special poster or title reveal from his ongoing film with Mahesh Babu.
Rumors were rife that the title “Varanasi” would be announced today, but that didn’t happen.
Mahesh Babu did take to social media to wish his director and shared a picture of him hugging Rajamouli, but no official update or photo from the movie was released.
Our sources say that Rajamouli is planning a massive event on the third Sunday of November to unveil the title. The date is locked, but the venue is yet to be finalized.
There is also buzz that legendary Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron might do the honors of announcing the title.
Cameron had earlier praised Rajamouli’s RRR and reportedly told him to reach out if he ever wished to collaborate in Hollywood.
So far, the project has been referred to as SSMB29 and GlobeTrotter, while “Varanasi” remains a strong but unconfirmed title.
