Dasara Audio Review: Nothing Great Except One Song

Dasara Audio Review: Nothing Great Except One Song

Nani’s Pan India film Dasara will have a total of five songs and as of now, the makers released three songs. They will soon release the fourth song, wherein the fifth song won’t be released before the film’s theatrical release since it will disclose something which can’t be revealed now. Santosh Narayanan scored the music.

Let’s see how the three songs are…

1. Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan: This is a routine beat resembling some tacky tunes of Rajnikanth's recent films.  The song depicts the celebration of rural crowds under the influence of alcohol. Choreography is also cliched. Kasarla Shyam’s lyrics are ok for the backdrop but there is nothing big to mention. Rahul Sipligunj crooned the number energetically, along with Gotte Kanakavva and other singers. In spite of routine stuff, this song may gain some momentum if the film proves to be a blockbuster.

2. Ori Vaari: This is a breakup song. The idea of the song is to explain how to deal with the breakup. “Try to forget everything like a kid, and relax in your mother’s lap,” there are many such lines in the song and Shreemani must be appreciated for writing meaningfully. Santhosh Narayanan also lent vocals for the song. But the tune and orchestra are dull and insipid. This is the dullest song so far in the album.

3. Chamkeela Angeelesi: This is the superb number in the album. Santhosh Narayanan came up with an unusual track. This is a rustic melody song where the protagonist and his wife make accusations against each other. The song haunts and drives to multiple listenings. Ram Miriyala and Dhee together sang the number. Dhee’s vocals made it more special. Kasarla Shyam wrote the lyrics and he deserves applause. Nani and Keerthy are too good in the song. The visuals in slow motion create a great impact. This is the chartbuster of the season for its remarkable composition, impressive vocals, and funny lyrics.

Overall, the album has nothing more than one good song. While Dhoom Dhaam is fast-paced, Ori Veri is dull and finally Chamkeela Angeelesi is a catchy melodic number with a rustic flavor.

Santhosh Narayanan scored an album consisting of different tracks, and three were released so far.
