Chikiri: Charan's Madness Behind Iconic Hook Step

Chikiri Chikiri from Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Pan-India spectacle Peddi has taken the world by storm.

The song has not only set social media ablaze nationwide but has also garnered massive international acclaim.

Recently, the track surpassed an astounding 100 million views across five languages, and continues to shatter viewership records at a rapid pace.

As music lovers groove to the viral number, now a favourite for reels and shorts, the makers have released an exciting making-of video titled Behind the Chikiri Madness.

The team reportedly travelled 45 minutes uphill to reach a picturesque hill station, where Ram Charan is seen performing the now-iconic hook step that has captivated audiences everywhere.

In the video, Charan playfully teases director Buchi Babu Sana, calling him Thala and jokingly warning him to take care of his own thala (head) during the trek. The fun banter highlights the easy camaraderie between the star and the filmmaker.

The video also showcases the crew navigating a challenging trek with the support of ropes, an effort that reflects their passion, commitment, and love for the film.

Produced by Venkata Sathish Kilaru, with music by the AR Rahman, Peddi is set to hit theatres worldwide on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.
