The recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan has sparked mixed reactions across the country.
While some Indians expected the Army to take decisive military action and reclaim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, others welcomed the ceasefire as a step toward swift de-escalation after a week of heightened tension.
Within the Indian film industry, the general expectation was that the standoff would last a few more weeks.
Anticipating possible disruptions, the makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom had even started scouting for an alternate release date.
However, with the ceasefire now in place, normalcy is returning — and for the film industry, that means resuming promotional campaigns and theatrical releases.
Buzz suggests that Kingdom may stick to its original release date of May 30. If so, it will clash at the box office with Bhairavam, starring Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, which is also scheduled for the same day.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated Hari Hara Veera Mallu will release as planned on June 12, without further delays.
